Screen damage

I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that I have an issue with devices’ screens. Specifically, with people fingering them and leaving their evil marks all around.

It’s embarrassing because, you might think that I could just clean it up quickly with a special solvent and a microfiber, right? But even that I’m afraid of. Because you know, it’s never the same again. Nasty micro fibers leave their marks too…

This is also true with camera lenses.

Yes, I have resigned and do clean them constantly, more so with my lenses, but still, I feel like I’m hurting them, poor things (Mary Kondo style).

I even gave up at some point, in a former job, and stopped asking people to quit fingering my MacBook Pro’s display. Didn’t want their vicious stains on my beautiful screen, but it was happening so often, that I felt embarrassed to keep asking. I thought some of them were doing it on purpose… I hope there’s a special place in hell for people like them.

It’s much different with touchscreen devices because, those displays are designed to be touched. I can’t do anything about it and it’s probably just a mindset, but I do feel like cleaning those is easier. I do it with less care, with no fear of damaging it.

Yes, freaky stuff.

Optimism, pessimism, fuck that; we’re going to make it happen. As God is my bloody witness, I’m hell-bent on making it work.
