Taking a shower in the “easy going” Saltillo. A disturbing noise alarms us and makes us gather. Heard it on the news, or movies, but never before I’ve been this close to the familiar sound. Sadly, too familiar for someone who had never before presenced it.
Shoot outs in the dark.
Near.
Sirens of police, or perhaps medics. Does it really matter, or make a difference? Probably yes, nevertheless, the only thing that we can take for granted is that the growing violence surrounding us will, sooner or later, take its deadly toll on us.
They said there was no drug dealers violence in Saltillo. Not as in nearby Monterrey or Torreón, at least…
Is that about to change for good worse?
