2023

This year I barely read any literature! Been focusing on news for TecnoBato.com.

But did got to the top 1% readers on Pocket again for 2023:

Got to the list of Pocket's top 1% reader!

They say it’s about 13 “average sized” novels. So maybe not that bad?

What I read on the Pocket app, almost 1 million words.

Warning! Spoilers ahead... proceed with caution.

It was mostly examples, so was a quick read. I was actually expecting it to be more extensive, 'cause as of 2023-01-08, it has excelent reviews (69 ratings with 97% 5 stars and 0% 1 star). It's not a bad reference, but this thech is evolving so fast, and, since I'm on my way to become a power user of AI software to generate images, I felt like it was missing stuff. First: what software did he use for each image? Dall E2? Midjourney? Was it v2 or v3? Or perhaps Stable Diffusion? This last one has a ton of customization options too, what were those settings? If I had to guess, I would say it's DALLE. As I said, maybe some stuff wasn't available in October 2022 (which is the closest date I could track [https://monsterhunternation.com/2022/10/17/an-illustrated-guide-to-ai-prompt-mastery/] to its release, the book itself only says 2022), when the book was out, but I fear most tools, like MJ3, or SD1.5, which was out by August [https://stability.ai/blog/stable-diffusion-public-release] were already there to be considered. Overall, I think it was good, but pricey for what it is (I paid 10 usd), also assuming in one year from now (maybe half) a few things may become obsolete, or there just may be better/easier/faster ways to do it.
